Working With You

We try to work in a manner that is most beneficial to you, our clients, and therefore offer a variety of ways to contract with us.

First, we have a recently revised and up-dated membership scheme, which is structured in a flexible manner, anticipating that our clients may have differing requirements of us. The purpose of membership is clear:

  1. IT expertiseAs a member, you will always receive priority attention. We believe this will become increasingly important as REACH, and similar legislative initiatives, have more of an impact and demand for high quality toxicology advice begins to exceed supply.

  2. Membership brings consulting services and information products at special discounted rates as well as priority service. Our scale of membership fees begin as low as £2500 per annum, providing a reassuring insurance against unforeseen chemical risk and hazard concerns. The recent innovative changes to the scheme can help you achieve much higher volume-related discounts than in the past, with little risk of over-commitment because of increased flexibility regarding the term of each membership contract.

Second, we understand that for some of you, the requirement for our services can be intermittent and irregular. You may not feel that a membership scheme is right for you. For this type of client we offer consulting and advice of the highest quality, on an as-needed-basis, at reasonable daily rates (with the caveat that, naturally, our members' requirements will always come first).

Finally, some of you may wish to subscribe to our monthly publication, Toxicology and Regulatory News, or purchase Toxicity Profiles, without taking on a full bibra membership. We are happy to oblige; please click on the links for further details.

The bibra membership scheme

We have been operating a successful membership scheme, providing excellent value for money for over 50 years. The scheme facilitates regular and informal interactions between bibra and member companies so that discussions on complex issues lead naturally to practical decisions on the best way forward – in our experience such discussions cannot always be handled as efficiently when working on a more formal ‘arms length’ project basis. Priority access to our consultants and other services is a core value of the membership scheme.

Economic efficiencyRecently we revised the scheme to provide increased flexibility and greater financial benefit for our members. Operating as a three-tier system – to meet your differing levels of requirement – membership is for up to 12 months but renewal can take place at any time. In other words if you feel you have optimised the benefits/discounts of a particular level/package, you can sign up to a new – or repeat – package, immediately.

For clients who want to be kept well informed on the safety issues of the day, who may only have an occasional need for bespoke bibra services, but who particularly value the insurance of guaranteed priority service, we built a Foundation level of membership. For those who are likely to use the services more frequently the Advanced level of membership is more appropriate. A Premium level of membership was created to meet the needs of clients who are likely to require the full range of services provided by bibra on a much more frequent basis. In all cases, within the boundaries of the particular level acquired, the more consulting hours you purchase the more cost effective it becomes.

And as stated above, once you get close to exceeding the optimum hours/pricing level, you can re-purchase the same or a new package.

There are a number of our clients who have, historically, utilised our services to such an extent that their needs go beyond the Premium level of membership. We are happy to design a suitable and attractive bespoke membership package for those clients, and indeed any others who feel their requirements are unique.

All bibra members receive complimentary copies of Toxicology and Regulatory News and are entitled to discounts, on our daily consulting rates and Toxicity Profiles.
