Toxicity Profile for Di-n-propyl ketone (1997)
Abstract
Undiluted di-n-propyl ketone was a slight irritant to the skin and eyes of laboratory animals. It has also demonstrated some irritant potential on the upper respiratory tract of rodents. The acute toxicity in laboratory animals was low by oral and dermal routes and moderate when inhaled. Prolonged exposure of rats to high oral doses has produced effects on the central nervous system, liver, kidney, adrenals and stomach. The central nervous system and liver were also targets by the inhalation route in rats.
