Propargyl alcohol (1988)

Abstract

Propargyl alcohol was a skin and eye irritant in rabbits. It was of moderate to high acute oral, dermal and inhalation toxicity to laboratory animals, and repeated inhalation exposure caused damage to the liver and kidneys of rats. Weak mutagenicity has been reported in a bacterial Ames test.

Toxicity Profiles are comprehensive, yet concise, monographs on the hazard potential of individual chemicals. They are written by scientists specially trained in the evaluation of toxicity data and are prepared principally from primary information sources.
