Toxicity Profile for Phthalocyanine green (2005)
Abstract
Phthalocyanine green has induced skin sensitization in one individual. No irritant reactions occurred in volunteers treated with a dilute suspension. The neat material did not irritate the eyes of rabbits. When administered orally, phthalocyanine green was of low acute toxicity to mice and rats, and caused liver and kidney effects. It was mutagenic in one Ames bacterial test, but inactive in others. No chromosome damage was observed in mammalian cells in culture.
