Toxicity Profile for para-tert-Butylbenzaldehyde (1990)
Abstract
para-tert-Butylbenzaldehyde (PTBB) was of moderate acute oral toxicity to rats and mice. Repeated oral exposure damaged the testes of rats and decreased sperm production. PTBB was a skin irritant in guinea-pigs. Repeated skin applications of a dilute solution did not induce sensitization in volunteers although guinea-pigs treated repeatedly by injection were sensitized.

What are Toxicity Profiles?
Toxicity Profiles are comprehensive, yet concise, monographs on the hazard potential of individual chemicals.
They are written by scientists specially trained in the evaluation of toxicity data and are prepared principally from primary information sources.
