Toxicity Profile for N,N'-Dimethylethyleneurea (1993)
Abstract
N,N'-Dimethylethyleneurea produced severe eye injury and moderate skin irritation in rabbits. It was of moderate acute toxicity in rats treated orally and in rabbits treated dermally. A single exposure to the saturated vapour was apparently well tolerated in rats. Tissue changes in the lungs, liver, gastro-intestinal tract and testes were observed in rats administered single oral doses or rabbits given a skin application. No studies were identified on the carcinogenicity or reproductive toxicity of N,N'-dimethylethyleneurea.

What are Toxicity Profiles?
Toxicity Profiles are comprehensive, yet concise, monographs on the hazard potential of individual chemicals.
They are written by scientists specially trained in the evaluation of toxicity data and are prepared principally from primary information sources.
