Toxicity Profile for Salicylanilide (1992)
Abstract
Salicylanilide was of low acute oral toxicity in mice. Repeated oral administration caused tissue changes in the liver and kidneys of rats. In one study, there was no evidence of sensitization or photosensitization in mice. Salicylanilide is believed to be a skin irritant in man and can produce phototoxic irritation in mice.
