Salicylanilide (1992)AbstractSalicylanilide was of low acute oral toxicity in mice. Repeated oral administration caused tissue changes in the liver and kidneys of rats. In one study, there was no evidence of sensitization or photosensitization in mice. Salicylanilide is believed to be a skin irritant in man and can produce phototoxic irritation in mice. Toxicity Profiles are comprehensive, yet concise, monographs on the hazard potential of individual chemicals. They are written by scientists specially trained in the evaluation of toxicity data and are prepared principally from primary information sources.
