Terpinolene (1993)

Abstract

Terpinolene was a severe irritant to the skin of rabbits in one study but not in another. Limited evidence has shown that occupational exposure can cause skin sensitization. In acute studies, terpinolene had low toxicity by the oral route in rats and mice and by the dermal route in rabbits.

Toxicity Profiles are comprehensive, yet concise, monographs on the hazard potential of individual chemicals. They are written by scientists specially trained in the evaluation of toxicity data and are prepared principally from primary information sources.
