Toxicity Profile for Pamoic acid (1997)

Abstract

Pamoic acid was a mild skin irritant in rabbits. Instillation of pamoic acid into the eye of rabbits caused severe irritation and damage. Acute toxicity was moderate in mice treated by intraperitoneal injection. A simpler, structurally-related compound was not mutagenic in bacterial assays, including the Ames test.

What are Toxicity Profiles?

Toxicity Profiles are comprehensive, yet concise, monographs on the hazard potential of individual chemicals. They are written by scientists specially trained in the evaluation of toxicity data and are prepared principally from primary information sources.
