Toxicity Profile for para-tertiary-Amylphenol (1990)

Abstract

para-tertiary-Amylphenol was a skin sensitizer and depigmenting agent and a severe skin irritant in man. It was also a severe irritant to the eye and respiratory tract. A relatively low acute systemic toxicity by the oral and dermal routes was demonstrated in laboratory animals. para-tertiary-Amylphenol was not mutagenic in an Ames bacterial test.
