Methylcyclohexanol vapour can cause eye, nose and throat irritation in man, and the undiluted liquid produced irritancy on repeated application to rabbit skin. The acute oral toxicity was moderate in rats. Single doses given orally, dermally or by injection affected the central nervous system of laboratory animals. Exposure by the oral, dermal and inhalation routes caused damage to the heart, liver, spleen, kidneys, brain and blood system of rabbits.
