A recent draft technical support document published by the OEHHA describes the data and derivation of the proposed inhalation cancer unit risk factor (IUR) for tertiary-butyl acetate. IURs are used to estimate lifetime cancer risks associated with inhalation exposure to a carcinogen; the proposed IUR for tertiary-butyl acetate is 1.3 x 10-6 per μg/m3.
