Toxicity Profile for Ethyl laurate (2009)

Abstract

Ethyl laurate has demonstrated a low acute toxicity in laboratory animals when administered by the oral or dermal route. Repeated exposure to low doses in the diet was without overt adverse effects in rats. The neat material was not irritating to rabbit skin. In humans, a dilute solution did not irritate the skin and generated no evidence of a sensitizing potential.

What are Toxicity Profiles?

Toxicity Profiles are comprehensive, yet concise, monographs on the hazard potential of individual chemicals. They are written by scientists specially trained in the evaluation of toxicity data and are prepared principally from primary information sources.
