Toxicity Profile for Nitrapyrin (1988)

Abstract

Nitrapyrin exhibited a moderate acute toxicity in rodents, rabbits and chickens and moderate acute dermal toxicity in rabbits. No target organs were identified in studies involving repeated ingestion by dogs and rats. It was mutagenic in the bacterial Ames test.
