Toxicity Profile for Dibutyltin dilaurate (1989)
Abstract
Dibutyltin dilaurate was a skin and eye irritant in rabbits. It exhibited moderate acute toxicity when given orally to rodents and induced effects in the liver. Repeated oral administration to rodents caused damage to the gastro-intestinal tract and liver, and central nervous system effects. Reproductive toxicity in mammals has not been investigated. No evidence of mutagenicity was seen in an Ames bacterial test.

What are Toxicity Profiles?
Toxicity Profiles are comprehensive, yet concise, monographs on the hazard potential of individual chemicals.
They are written by scientists specially trained in the evaluation of toxicity data and are prepared principally from primary information sources.
