2-(Thiocyanomethylthio)benzothiazole (1990)

Abstract

2-(Thiocyanomethylthio)benzothiazole (TCMTB) was of moderate to low acute oral toxicity in rats and of low dermal toxicity in rabbits. No sites for toxic action were identified in dogs following repeated oral administration. TCMTB was mutagenic in bacterial tests.

Toxicity Profiles are comprehensive, yet concise, monographs on the hazard potential of individual chemicals. They are written by scientists specially trained in the evaluation of toxicity data and are prepared principally from primary information sources.
