Triethylene glycol bis(2-ethylhexanoate) (1996)AbstractTriethylene glycol bis(2-ethylhexanoate) produced mild skin and eye irritation in laboratory animals, and weak skin sensitization in guinea pigs. Its acute oral and dermal toxicity was low in rodents and rabbits. Rats died when exposed to the mist formed by cooling air saturated with the vapour. No adverse effects were seen in a limited feeding study in rats. Toxicity Profiles are comprehensive, yet concise, monographs on the hazard potential of individual chemicals. They are written by scientists specially trained in the evaluation of toxicity data and are prepared principally from primary information sources.
