Toxicity Profile for Allyl heptylate (1993)
Abstract
Allyl heptylate was of moderate acute oral toxicity in the rat, mouse and guinea-pig. Repeated oral administration caused liver damage in rats and dogs as well as effects on other organs. It was of moderate acute dermal toxicity in the rabbit and was irritating to both human and rabbit skin. Attempts to induce sensitization in volunteers using dilute solutions were unsuccessful.
