As part of its mandate to produce toxicological profiles for substances on the National Priorities List, the ATSDR has recently released a draft (for public comment) report on glyphosate. This profile provides a thorough review of the toxicological and epidemiological data and an evaluation of the risks to human health from different routes of exposure. Additionally, the ATSDR has calculated provisional acute and chronic oral Minimal Risk Levels (MRLs) for glyphosate, proposing an estimate of 1 mg/kg bw as the daily human exposure that is likely to be without an appreciable risk of adverse non-cancer health effects.
