From 11 July 2013, product information files (PIFs) submitted to the European Commission (by manufacturers, importers and some distributors of cosmetics within Europe) will need to conform to cosmetics Regulation (EC) 1223/2009. This new legislation encourages a more thorough approach to the toxicological assessment of cosmetics.

If you need assistance in complying with the new legislation, and in drafting the associated cosmetic product safety report (CPSR), bibra is happy to help by:

  • conducting high-quality, in-depth safety evaluations of cosmetics ingredients
  • considering possible interactions between ingredients
  • concluding on the overall toxicological safety of cosmetic formulations

We have been providing high-quality, cost-effective toxicological support to companies in various industrial sectors (including cosmetics) for more than 50 years, and have conducted 1000s of hazard and risk assessments. All of our senior toxicologists are professionally registered under the RSB/BTS and European Registered Toxicologist schemes, and are suitably qualified to compile the CPSR, as required by the regulation.
