An update to ECHA’s guidance on the human health risk assessment of biocidal products under the BPR contains a fully revised section on exposure assessment, while technical aspects on exposure methodology have been moved to a separate document.

The results of a public consultation are now available to assess the impact of defining criteria to identify endocrine disruptors. This is in the context of the BPR, as well as the Plant Protection Products Regulation.

…Manual of Decisions repealed
The Manual of Decisions concerning the old Biocidal Products Directive has now been repealed by the European Commission and Member States. Companies who previously considered their products to be excluded from the scope of the biocides legislation can contact their national helpdesk to check whether the status has changed, and potentially submit a declaration of interest (by 3 October 2016) to notify ECHA.
