In evaluating the health risks associated with the inhalation of certain vaporised liquids through smoking e-cigarettes, BfR has expressed concern over the health and addictive effects of inhaled nicotine, as well as the potential toxic effects of other ingredients (over the long-term), including propylene glycol and flavourings.
