There has been significant progress made regarding the development and validation of test methods for endocrine disruption, but it is recognised that there are still gaps to address. The EC Joint Research Centre (JRC) conducted an online survey in 2015 to capture expert opinion on the current ‘state of the science’. A report providing the results of this survey has now been issued, indicating that further tests should be developed, particularly to detect chemicals causing thyroid-related, neurodevelopmental and/or metabolic disorders.
