OECD held its first Cooperative Chemicals Assessment Meeting in October 2011 (previously, SIDS Initial Assessment Meetings collated information under this OECD programme, before its current evolution). Agreed conclusions, covering critical toxicity and ecotoxicity data, are now available for the following chemicals (or groups of chemicals):

  • tetrachloromethane
  • dichloromethane
  • 1,1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)ethane
  • hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDS)
  • thiophene
  • 1,2-bis(stearoylamino)ethane
  • C8-C12 aliphatic thiols (including 1-octanethiol; 1,1-dimethyl heptanethiol; 1‑dodecanethiol; tert-dodecanethiol)
  • sodium 3-nitrobenzenesulfonate
  • C14-C20 aliphatic [≤2% aromatic] hydrocarbon solvents (including some n-paraffins, iso‑paraffins and petroleum distillates and raffinates)
  • 1,1,1,3,5,5,5-heptamethyltrisiloxane (HMTS)
  • calcium hydrogenorthophosphate
