The European Commission has proposed a draft amendment to the REACH regulatory text in order to clarify the registration duties and obligations relating to nanoforms of substances. Particular areas of discussion include the applicability and conduct of standard toxicity test methods in the assessment of nanomaterials, as well as nanoform‑specific details regarding substance characterisation.
