TCEQ has released two DSDs, and is seeking public comments. The first document covers cobalt and twelve cobalt salts. The Commission is also seeking public comments on a revision to the DSD on hexane and its isomers. The DSDs are used by TCEQ to inform the derivation of inhalation Effect Screening Levels (ESLs), chemical concentrations in the air that are considered safe for the general population (including vulnerable sub-populations) and that also protect against ‘welfare effects’ (e.g. on plants).
