The NRC has made available its interim assessment of inorganic arsenic following a request from the US EPA to assist in its updated Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) review. As well as providing an up-to-date and comprehensive review of the literature regarding the cancer and non-cancer effects of oral exposure to inorganic arsenic, NRC’s report also offers a number of recommendations on how the EPA can enhance its own arsenic assessment.
