SCENIHR has drafted an opinion for public consultation on a priority list of 57 tobacco additives in the context of their prohibition under Article 7 of the Tobacco Products Directive. The substances were selected on the basis of their known or expected toxicity and/or their contribution to the addictiveness, or attractiveness, of tobacco. Short monographs describing the relevant data on each of these additives have been prepared.
